Pre-Lube to TXIH 2010

PMS and I left work on Thursday and made it to my house to see all of the out-of-towners. Net showed me his “special 40 glove” that he and Raisin had made after I yelled at him (I don’t remember it this way) for breaking a 40 during the Brass Monkey Inaugural weekend. Many people broke 40’s that weekend since I do have tile floors!

After receiving a great present from the Kimchi (Brass Monkey Sweatshirt) we loaded into Spork’s truck to the Pre-Lube beginning at the 19^th Hole. Everyone who signed up got a spray bottle and monkey hat/monkey glasses. We were asked by the bar owner to stop spraying on the tile floor because people were slipping everywhere. McPisser bought some Lone Stars and the drinking commenced. HARE away.

The next stop was the liquor store. Cum-puss and I got some Pear Vodka.

We followed trail until we reached the next stop which was Rico’s Grill. After driving out everyone who was eating in the bar, we took Tequila shots and had some more beer.

Next stop was Rookies. Nachaeux was there with beads for everyone! We played quarters for a bit before heading out to Martini’s. On the way to Martini’s we passed a Laundromat and decided to stuff Spork into a washer.

Barney’s was the next stop where some Journey was sung. Triple D and some others stole letters from the marquee…they are still at my house.

The final stop on the pub crawl was BT’s where we had a circle led by McPisser. Church Lady was tackled to the ground by Net, but managed to not get hurt! As soon as fried food was delivered to Spork and Cum-puss, people began to drift away from the circle and started to chow down on fried goodness. McPisser said that a good GM knows when to call it quits! Net passed out and Name My Vagina and I decided he needed to eat so we force fed him tuna melt sandwich and tater tots. I am pretty sure he tried to eat her fingers too.

Spork drove us all home and the rest is in a drunken haze. On on to TXIH 2010!!

When I try to write up something after a hash weekend, I have a hard time because there has been so much drinking and brain cell killing that I can barely form sentences any more! Donnie left after work Thursday night to head up to FU Knave's house for a Knuckledragger pre-lube. Before he even left he had to call Gaylord to walk him through jump starting his bike. He made it up there for the party without any other incidents. They partied and I guess sang karaoke til the wee hours of the morning.

Just Tony and I packed up and headed out on Friday afternoon. The drive up wasn’t too bad; we just hit a little traffic in Dallas and Denton. Once we got outside of Denton, Tony and I switched and he took over the driving. At the gas station in Sanger, we met Boomhower and his hick cousin. They spoke some language that I don’t think has any relationship to English…it was hilarious!!!

We showed up at the campsite and were greated by Not So Silent Bob, Nuthin’ but Net and DTR. I was handed some Boone’s farm and Thunderbird from Nacheaux…it tasted so good on my lips! Tents were set up and we were near the Knuckledragger compound…Knave set up the disco tent which was great!

That night a band played and Tony requested Free Bird probably 200 times! There was drinking and revelry. At one point Net looked over to Piggus and decided to puke on Piggus. He was the first. Then Piggus decided to return the favor and puke on Net. It made me gag. It was chunky. Ass Gagger gagged too…

The Border Jumpers and Kimchi group headed back up to the compound where Knave was DJ ing. It helped keep us warm! Both Tony and Gaylord were holding onto tent poles to keep from falling over! Lots of Hennessey and Beam was drunk and I think I had a lot of Yucca and Jell-O Shots!

Saturday…

We woke up and headed down to a yummy breakfast of cold eggs and tortillas. I went and took a nap and while I napped I believe a game of Croquet occurred as well as Hash Olympics. I decided a nap wasn’t worth sweating in a tent so I got up and went to play some kickball with the group. Our team won!! It was the Donnie the Retard team versus FU Knave’s team. Raisin Smuggler was our pitcher and we rocked!

Then lunch happened. White bread with some mustard and American cheese.

The groups that decided to actually hash were gone. Gaylord, Nacheaux and Piggus did the ball buster trail.

Not So Silent Bob busted out the Sweet Tea Vodka and Gagger, Xena and I started drinking the “tea”. We ended up playing 3 man for awhile with Death By Dildo, Wet Spot, Bob, Xena and others. However, because of the sweet drinks and beer on the table, we got attacked by bees. Wet Spot ended up stepping on one but she kept playing!

Nuthin’ but Net decided to pass out on the stage.

Cockeye and him wrestled for awhile getting out some of their homosexual tendencies.

Gaylord came back from trail dripping with blood down his legs. He said the trail sucked and was only about 3-4 miles.

The group sang some Journey on stage…first it was air guitars then we had Guitar Hero guitars. Donnie sang Double Vision and rocked it!

We had a contra-circle run by Gay Ho, Slut Slinger and McPisser. Woo woo!

Since we hadn’t eaten much over the last couple of days, Gaylord, Donnie, Tony and I headed to town to get some Dairy Queen. While we were gone, they started the Flip Cup Tournament without us…our team decided to go forward using stand-ins…Gagger was my stand in and she did great! We showed up after a couple of rounds and they decided to allow us to be inserted back in. We beat one team and then faced the Border Jumpers in the Finals.

The Border Jumpers were tough competitors but they couldn’t compete against the amazing team of SUCK MY BALLS, who were wearing pink headbands. We have now won two years in a row…suck it! The team was Donnie the Retard, McPisser, Massive Slut Slinger, Baby G, C’em Cumming and ESPN…

Just Tony didn’t get to play in his first Flip Cup tournament even though he had practiced!

Skunkweed took the stage and Mr and Mrs Texas Interhash were named.

Net passed out a few times.

We thought the name “The Cock Whisperer” would be good for just Tony…He IS the Pack Leader”.

Guam and Donnie told stories about getting in fights and how the short guys are always harder to fight then the big guys…big guys fall harder.

I ended up crashing but everyone else went up to Knave’s tent again to dance. I guess Net let them draw on him with sharpies while he was dancing.

Sunday….

Woke up, had pancakes and The Knuckledraggers had their circle. I got called out for crashing into Donnie and Gaylord’s bikes in our garage last year. Gagger found her missing Mug…he had lots of friends on hash space. Gaylord got called into circle for loosing a check and for sending Net a check with Pubes in the envelope. Tony got named. Stories were told and they ended up naming him Cockter Spork because he and Net spooned (sporked) at night in their tent. Knave gave him his own hand signal and we sang Old McDonald. The only other name we thought of was the Cock Whisperer.

We headed out after the circle, Cockter Spork and I were in the car and Donnie rode his bike back. We had some rough winds but we made it home about 6 pm.

Next year, the Knuckledraggers are putting on Interhash…watch out!!!

Donnie leaves shortly for TXIH...he is riding to Knave's first to meet up with the Knuckledraggers and then meeting up with us tomorrow. Just Tony and I leave tomorrow about 12 for the campground. We had a freak thunderstorm this morning but it looks like it will be clear skys the rest of the weekend. I can't wait to see everyone!

We have had some really bad storms the last couple of afternoons. I guess there was even a tornado going through the area last night.

Of course, this is also the same time we are having our roof replaced from Hurricane Ike damage...

The roof was leaking for about 1 hour last night up in the attic and in one of our spare bedrooms. We were running around with buckets trying to catch the drips. I haven't been home yet today...hopefully they were able to complete most of the roof.

DTR’s family is now taking over the neighborhood! His brother just moved into the house directly across the street from us. Supposedly, while they were unloading the moving truck, the incredibly judgmental moms from down the street were outside, staring, trying to figure out the relationship between two young guys living together. In a couple of months, when it is gay pride and they are flying a huge rainbow flag, I think their questions will be answered.

We now are taking bets as to how long it will take Tony or his boyfriend, Veasna, to pass out drunk on either lawn or in the middle of the street!
I have always been close to my family but I have a relatively small family and they don’t live that close together. It is really great having someone directly across the street who is not only a friend but also a relative! He is someone to trust to take care of our house and dogs when we are gone, someone to split Sam’s Club bills with and to help cook dinners.

The street name is Painted Sunset...Tony said his new email address will be Brokeback Sunset 99! HAHAHAHA

I received my first Christmas present a little early from DTR. He finally figured out how to get a replacement title for his old truck which has been sitting in our driveway for 2 1/2 years! We are donating the truck to Purple Heart foundation and they come today to pick it up. We won't be the complete white trash couple on our block anymore. When we told our neighbor that the truck would be gone by the end of the week, he just nodded like, THANK GOD!!! DTR's cousin said that when we go out of town for Christmas we should fake out the neighbors and park another really trashy car there while we are gone just to freak them out. That old truck got us through a lot of moves and was a nice little truck but it needed to be retired and off my front lawn!!!

I found a doggie abandoned at a gas station about 20 miles outside of Dallas. She is a really sweet dog and luckily I work with a bunch of animal lovers. One of my co-workers is fostering her until we can get her updated on shots and find someone to adopt her. I can't understand how anyone could just leave a dog by themselves in the middle of nowhere.

So, I got into an interesting discussion the other day. I was telling the other person that I didn't really see why my husband and I would want to change our lives by growing up because we basically get to do whatever we want. Our philosophy has always been work hard, play harder and I don't really have any desire to grow up. Hence no children or real responsibility other than work or dogs.

This person I was talking to said that it is our duty as human beings to make a contribution to the world and that some day you do have to grow up otherwise, you will look back on your life and it won't have meant anything. While I am not sure I completely buy into that, I think he had a point. I think the moments I feel the most at peace and happy are when I have accomplished something that isn't all about treating myself. I get into this cycle where I reward myself for everything...if I have a bad day, I reward myself...if I have a good day, I reward myself. Things stop being as special if I am constantly rewarding myself.

It's been an ok day, time to go drink now...more whining later!!!

What to do with a visiting hasher? Not So Silent Bob visited this weekend and it was drunken and lots of fun...but we did drag him to a cousin's 4th birthday party! We played on bouncy things for a couple of hours, laughed a whole lot and then went back to drinking! Donnie and Bob went to the first game that the Texans won on Sunday and had really awesome free tickets on the 40 yard line while I went golfing with my brother-in-law. We drank the final 9 holes, about 2 beers a hole and cracked ourselves up. We bet to see who would lose more balls, I lost 3 and Tony lost 4 so I won! (Really, we bost lost cause we suck!!!) It was a great weekend!

What a great weekend. I agree with Brownie...it may have been one of the Kimchi's best. One of my favorite quotes from the Invihash came from Dairy Godmother...she said, "you know, this weekend has been great. Net has been so low key!" Now, he still had some classic Net moments like yelling at me to get him beef and instead enjoying the peanut butter from the rice crispie treats or puking on the pub crawl in lovely downtown Walsenburg and making everyone stop to admire his handywork...but it was a really fun weekend. DTR was drunker than I have seen him in a long time and dancing up a storm. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Susan Mopper (aka Titz) and $100 (aka Flabongo air guitarist) and complaining about how "normal" we are for hashers. I mean I am not a swinger and don't normally get naked in public, so I am super conservative hasher. HAHAHA! Brownie called me Dora all weekend and pretty much considers it my name. I kept saying "Hola, me gusta beer." and then didn't get until later the silliness of saying that and not saying cervesa. Although DTR's name is retard, I do believe I have much more retarded moments. (insert monkey noises)

Cruise

DTR and I went on a cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. When you get off of the ship in Cozumel, you walk into a mall that has a Starbucks, Burger King and Pizza Hut. I just don't understand this. If I wanted to go to places like that I would have stayed home. I am not in Mexico to go to Starbucks, COME ON! DTR and his dad went Scuba diving while we went to Paradise Beach and ate yummy guacamole.

We went to swim with the Stingrays in Grand Cayman. It was a little weird at first but then you get used to the huge slimy things swimming right up to you.

The last stop was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We took a tour around and climbed Dunn's Falls and went intertubing down a river. In this picture is one of our guides down the river. Half way through the tubing, we stopped and jumped off of a cliff. Our guides decided to show off and started doing flips and tricks off of the cliff. The guide in the picture climbed up a tree over the river and did a back flip. It was crazy! Everyone talked about Bob Marley and how much the country misses him. DTR was approached a couple of times to purchase drugs, I wonder why? They kept saying, "Eh, Tattoo man! Want to smoke?"

Jordan and I have been trying to satellite into the Main Event of the World Series of Poker...they have online tournaments at Full Tilt where if you get to the final one, they pay you $12,000 to go to the tournament. $10,000 is the entry fee and $2,000 for travel expenses. We have both come very close and are going to keep cracking away at it. If I end up on TV, I will wear my one of my Kimchi shirts! Or maybe a really low cut shirt to distract all the guys at the table!

Sports writers and talk show hosts who talk about the MVP award all think Kobe has had better seasons. He has. This is not his best statistical season. However, this is the first year that he is having a feel good season. His points are down, but he has become a "better team player". Amazing how winning solves a lot of problems. He finally has a team around him that compliments his playing and so...the Lakers are winning. When you combine the best player in the league with some decent supporting cast, they win! Hopefully, Kobe will be winning another award toward the end of the playoffs.

1. Playing 80 oz. to Freedom or Edward 40 hands makes me a drunk idiot.
2. Nick and Kara make cute babies. It's not that I don't want kids, I just am afraid my kids are going to be really weird looking/have Jordan's personality!
3. Not So Silent Bob is an enabler. And had an almost mullet when he was younger.
4. Sushi rice has sugar in it according to the sushi chef in Denver, who told us this while he was taking wagers on the Laker/Denver game from cute hostesses.
5. When your sushi takes awhile it's not cause you are wearing Laker's jerseys in Denver.
6. C4 and Brownie have interesting blog conversations.
7. It's May already.
8. Hashers on unicycles are a little odd.
9. Denver really wanted the Lakers to win. There were signs everywhere. The flowers were even gold and purple.

Countdown to Colorado

We now have 4 long long days before we get to Colorado! The real reason we are coming is for Bob's 21st birthday, but in addition to that, we get to see the Griffmeister, Ava and Patrick, Net and C4, all the Kimchi peeps, the Lakers kill Denver, Melo get depressed and get another DUI, and Beggin for It's wanker brother cry when he realizes how much cooler she is than him.

Hanging out with the Hippies in Berkeley

I went to visit my college roommates in Berkeley last weekend. It was beautiful California weather all weekend so a beach trip was needed. We went into the ocean but it was freezing. Right after this picture was taken, we ran out and sunned off. It made me miss living in California until I remembered that you need to have A LOT of money to live comfortably there and it is really overcrowded and a little dirty. Plus, who wants to live with a bunch of smug hippies?

Donnie the Retard and I woke up Friday morning to dark thunder clouds. Donnie was supposed to ride out and meet the Knuckledraggers in Navasota to ride the rest of the way. It would have been his longest ride and we weren't sure if he should take the motorcycle with the storm on the way. He decided to chance it because he didn't want to miss the opportunity to ride his motorcycle with some great people. We met them in Navasota at a steak house (after calling Ass Gagger 5 times for directions!) and hung out, warmed up and dried off a little. The group got back on the bikes and into the cars. We drove the last leg into Dobbin, Texas. Gaylord promised Donnie that they would take it easy and not ride too fast since he was a pretty new rider...they were probably going about 80...I am pretty sure that is taking it easy for Gaylord! We turned off the street onto a dirt lane. This lane was no longer dirt...it was squishy mud. A couple of the guys layed their bikes down in the mud (Massive Slut Slinger) with ladies on the back! I stopped to try to help Wet Spot pull up their bike. It felt like driving on ice...We show up at the ranch and are told to park and put all of our camping gear in the back of a trailer since none of the cars would make it in the mud to the campsite. Everyone was wet and cold so we started drinking BRASS MONKIES!!! Donnie and Ass Gagger set up tents and I made a trip to the car to grab more supplies. On my way back down the muddy lane, I kept dropping crap and met Gay Ho and Kit Kat who helped me carry all of the stuff back. The Knuckledragger compound (supplied by Fuck U Knave) was set up and we put the beer pong table underneath the big pavilion. The band that was supposed to play Friday didn't make it up there because of the weather but we had music supplied by Knave and the party was in the compound.

Some brilliant person decided to put Skintimate Shaving Cream (Raspberry) in the goody bags...Donnie and Gaylord put shaving cream on a lot of people! And then those people would hug other people and spread the wealth! Pretty funny. Begging for it was a ninja all night and shanked all sorts of people. (Who all deserved it!)

March Madness

UCLA smashed Cal today...I smell another final four! Is everyone going to particpate in the tournament challenge? There is just something about March...Spring is coming, St. Patrick's Day is the best holiday for us alcoholics, and March Madness has to be one of the best sporting events out there. Last year, Jordan and I went to the local British style pub and watched all of the first round games. It was on a Thursday I think...I have never been so hungover at work in my life. I couldn't even function til about 2pm after puking on the drive into work. Ahhh good times!!

He has expressed discontent in the past year with the Grizzlies (13-33) who have not been in playoffs since 2006 and have never won a playoff game since he was drafted in 2001.He was the NBA's rookie of the year in 2001-02 and made the All-Star team in 2006. Gasol has three more years and an estimated $49 million on his contract. Brown's $9.1-million conract expires after this seasoon and Crittenton is a rookie.Gasol would fill in at center until Andrew Bynum returns from a knee injury sometime in March. Gasol could then slide over to power forward when Bynum returns.

Key West, Florida...very relaxing vacation.

Jordan took down not 1 but 2 fishing poles in 1 week...my great-uncle just kept shaking his head and laughing.

We arrived in Miami late on Friday after having a couple of hour delay in Houston. We made our way into Continental's President Club while in Houston because Jordan's step-dad happened to be stranded too and he got us in. Open Bar...'nuf said. By the time we arrived in Miami we were a little bit hammered. While waiting for my mom, we saw a Porshe and a BMW, both with Miami Heat License plates...the drivers were short white guys so we assumed they were waiting for someone else. My mom rolled up in the rented Mini Van...what, what! We drove to West Palm Beach and spent two nights, hanging out with family. Then, we were off to the Keys. On the way, we stopped back in Miami to pick up my mom's best friend and her husband.

When we got to our home for the next week, we were greeted by tiny Key Deer. Nothing like the big Colorado deer. We stayed at a fishing lodge in Big Pine Key, where my great-uncle lives for the most of the summer in an RV and docks his boat. He and Jordan made fast friends when we walked up to my uncle's camp area and there was a fully stocked bar. When Jordan asked for bourbon, my uncle said, "Well, i accidentally bought Jim Beam Black instead of Jack Daniels. Do you mind?" Did he mind? Nope, it was love. The week consisted of fishing on his boat everyday, lots of drinking, great food and of course, Karaoke. My mom sang for the first time and had a blast, especially after a shot of, ew, barf, Cuervo. Jordan blew everyone away with Folsom Prison Blues. Or maybe it was just the alcohol but damn he sounded like Johnny Cash. We also went Lobster fishing every day which means you snorkel around and if you spot two little antennae coming out of a hole you dive down to the bottom with a net and a "tickler" to coax the lobster into your net. Those suckers are quick. My uncle caught a couple but he is an old pro and the rest of us just kicked around pretending like we knew what we were doing. The 2 Moray eel that we spoted made me a little reluctant to stick the tickler into any hole...hahaha...

We went to Key West the last night and did the tourist thing. Key West has no open container policy, so it is basically one big pub crawl. At every bar, you can get a souvenir cup with something called either Pirate's Punch or Captain Tony's Punch. Captain Tony's was where Jimmy Buffet started, playing for $10 and a couple of Budweisers.

Anyone want to go next year? NBN...C4....hint hint hint....

Report: Lakers, Fisher agree to 3-year, $14 million deal

Derek Fisher is a Laker again. I don't know how much this will appease Kobe but it's a step. He wanted to move back to LA to get treatment for his 1 year old daughter who has a rare form of eye cancer. I think that it was really decent of Utah to let him go so that he could move.
